Well, we celebrated our four year anniversary yesterday. Our anniversary is really on the 22nd, but since it was a Thursday, and we had decided to go to New York, it wasn’t much of a celebration.

We went to The Gasho Japanese Restaurant in Central Valley. This was a great place. As I’d never gone before, I was in for a real treat, and quite a suprise.

They cooked the food right on the table in front of us, and flipped little bits of zuchinni right into our mouths.

We were discussing just about an hour before that with the length of time we’d been living in the area (seven years for me, fifteen for Sarah) that we never ran into people that we knew when we were living there.

Imagine our suprise when we were sat right next to a girl that Sarah had been on the cheerleading squad with.

We spent several hours talking and catching up (well, Sarah was, I didn’t know them from Adam). Some really delicious food, and lots of alchohol. And best of all…no kids! Grandma and Grandpa watched them so we could have a nice stress free night out. Since the last thing we went out alone together was going to see “Cast Away” we were really needing some quiet time.

Riley’s been sick for almost two months, with one thing or another.

He started off with a cold, which I’m fairly sure gave him the ear infection. That was starting to get better, when the whole family got hit with yet another cold, and he got another ear infection.

This time he has a stronger dose of antibiotics, which he’s been on for the last ten days (today is the last day). Two days ago, the thing I’ve been dreading arrived: diarrhea. The doctor specifically stated this would probably lead to severe diarrhea. And did it. In spades.

Riley also has what’s called an umbilical hernia. The doctor says that they used to treat them by way of a ‘belt’ worn around the naval area, but they don’t do that anymore, as they (except in very extreme cases) take care of themselves, disappearing around the third year.

We bought a new car!

Well, not new, but new to us. A 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE. It has every option you could ever think of. High mileage, but it runs quite well.

Had to take the site down for a few hours last night. There was a huge electrical storm in the area, and as I had already lost computer parts in the last storm, I didn’t want to lose any more. I unplugged the cable.
