Speaking of eBay auctions, we’ve put up a bunch more. Find the page with all the auctions here.

We’ve put some Carter’s Clothes up on eBay. Find the link right here. Bid well, bid often.
Lemme tell you…never try to install packages on a production machine.
I’ve been playing with a package for a bit, PHPNuke, and haven’t been able to get it to run. I finally gave up, and now use B2 instead. Works quite well. If I had wanted to, I could have made the site look exactly the same as the old site, but internally different.
That’s pretty much the way it is right now, but I changed some colors, got rid of that silly ’survey’ and made the menu choices larger.
The overall result is great! I can update from wherever I am in the world, as long as there is an Internet connection.
Anyway…I went to update a couple outdated packages, forgetting that one package usually has something either depending on it, or it depends on something else…and sure enough, I broke the damn thing. It’s been down since about 22:00 last night. Since the web server is in the bedroom, and everyone (read: my wife) was sleeping, there was no way I was going to wake her to update.
It was mostly simple; remove the new packages, downgrade to the old packages. I will update everything soon, when Slackware releases their final version of Slackware 9.0.
Next thing to learn: how to back up MySQL databases. Luckily, it looks like plopping it back into the directory worked, as you’re reading this. Next time…I don’t think I’ll be so lucky.
Boy, did we have fun yesteday. Slayton had a big ice cream cake, and a ton of people came. Regretably few kids (one), but he hd lots of fun. Look for an update in the gallery soon.
I’m so tired of the cold. I’d love to take the kiddies for a walk, but they’d turn into ice cubes in a twist.
Being holed up in the house gets a wee tiring, after the 1,000th day. I yearn for summer.
We’re going to Claremont today. Actually, the point of this post it to test the new posting system. With it, I can post from anywhere in the whole world. How nifty.
